Both are hand embroidery done on a frame, but the technique and look differ. Aari work uses a hook needle to create chain stitches — it is typically fine-lined and detailed. Maggam work is broader and uses beads, stones and sequins alongside thread, giving a heavier, more ornate finish. Most bridal blouses combine both. We will show you samples when you visit so you can choose.
The cost depends entirely on the density of work, the design, and the materials used. Light aari work on a simple design costs less than dense maggam with stones and zardosi. We quote after seeing your reference — never before. Send us a photo and we will give you an honest range.
Yes — that is almost always how it starts. Send us the photo or bring it in. We will look at the type of work, the coverage, the colours, and what materials are used. Then we will tell you what we can replicate exactly, what we would adapt, and the cost. We are honest about what is achievable.
It depends on the design and the volume of work. Light aari on a simple pattern may take 2–3 days. Heavy maggam with full coverage can take 7–10 days. We will give you the exact timeline after seeing your design. If your date is close, tell us upfront and we will work around it where we can.
Aari, maggam, zardosi, kundan and cut-work — and combinations of any of these. We also do logo embroidery on shirts and fabric. If you have something specific in mind that is not listed, ask us — we have been doing this for sixteen years and can assess almost anything.
Primarily on blouses, but we do take embroidery work on other garments too — lehenga blouses, dupattas, salwar tops. Bring it in or WhatsApp us a photo and we will advise.
